KOOL KRYS

Attracted to the Atlantic hip hop scene, Krys moved to Halifax in 2003 to pursue her BA in sociology. A hip hop dancer since a young age, she honed her dance moves through choreographing and teaching youths in the city. Krys first used her pen to write about local and international hip hop artists coming through Halifax, forming her name as a journalist in her university newspaper. The Kool Krys rap identity came through performances at local venues and building with dynamic east coast artists. In 2007, Krys recorded her debut album, The Return of Diana Prince, featuring talented Halifax artists and production by Bix. Since then, she has returned to her hometown, Ottawa, where she has pursued public relations and is working on her next album. Stay tuned!
